hey, love you.

Journal prompts for some extra love

Hi

Whether you open this on valentines day or not, I hope this email lands gently in your inbox and feels like a warm hug.

I hope your heart feels safe, and that you take a moment to show the people who matter to you most some extra love. It doesn’t need to be much, a text, a call, a letter, an extra long hug.

I think we can all underestimate how much these little gestures mean, but at the end of the day we we all need an “I am so grateful you exist” text to pop up on our screen.

Most importantly I hope you take time to show yourself some love. After writing so many love letters to others, I decided this year I would also write myself a letter.

Here are some prompts I’ll be using if you feel inspired to do the same:

  1. Reflect on your recent victories:

What have I accomplished lately that I’m proud of, no matter how small?

  2. Acknowledge your resilience:

When did I show strength in difficult times? How have I grown from challenges?

  3. Appreciate your qualities:

Which of my characteristics am I learning to love and value most?

  4. Remember acts of kindness:

How have I shown compassion to others? How have I taken care of myself?

  5. Look to the future:

What dreams am I nurturing? What potential do I see in myself?

  6. Express gratitude:

What parts of myself am I thankful for - body, mind, and spirit?

  7. Offer forgiveness:

What do I need to forgive myself for? How can I show myself more compassion?

  8. Make promises:

What commitments do I want to make to better care for myself?

All my love,

Joy
